1.4 Information From Third Parties. We may receive information about you from carrier vetting and monitoring services, credit reporting agencies, factoring companies, and publicly available government databases such as the FMCSA licensing and insurance system.

1.5 Children. The Site is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

2. How We Use Information

2.1 Purposes. We use the information we collect to:

• Prepare and deliver quotes and respond to inquiries
• Arrange, dispatch, track, and complete shipments
• Communicate with you about shipments, invoices, claims, and account matters
• Verify carrier authority, insurance, and safety fitness
• Evaluate credit, invoice, collect payment, and manage receivables including factoring
• Send marketing or service communications, subject to your right to opt out
• Maintain records required by law, including FMCSA broker record retention requirements
• Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, double brokering, and misuse

2.2 Telephone and Text Communications. If you provide a telephone number, you consent to receive calls and text messages from Assured Freight regarding your request and related services, including messages delivered using an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded voice. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages at any time.

2.3 Email Communications. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message. We may continue to send transactional messages regarding active shipments, invoices, and claims.

3. How We Share Information

3.1 We Do Not Sell Personal Information. Assured Freight does not sell personal information, and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3.2 Service Partners. We share information as necessary to arrange and complete transportation, including with:

• Motor carriers and other transportation providers performing your shipment
• Insurance providers and claims administrators
• Factoring companies, banks, and payment processors
• Transportation management system, email, and IT service providers
• Accountants, auditors, and legal counsel

3.3 Legal and Safety. We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Assured Freight, our customers, or others, or to investigate suspected fraud or cargo theft.

3.4 Business Transfers. If Assured Freight is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4. Data Retention and Security

4.1 Retention. We retain information for as long as necessary to provide services, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Records relating to brokered shipments are retained for a minimum of three years as required by 49 C.F.R. § 371.3.

4.2 Security. We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including access controls and encrypted transmission where appropriate. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4.3 Breach Notification. In the event of a security incident affecting personal information, we will provide notice as required by applicable law.

5.1 Access and Correction. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the information below.
